I learned the basics of photography at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, CA. Photography was an elective at the time, but I’ve been able to build on that foundation in the years since leaving school. I gleaned a great deal about automotive photography by assisting some of the best in the industry: Jessica Walker, Robert Guio, William “Dub Dub” Walker, Evan Klein, and Julia LaPalme, to name a few.

I’ve driven both subject-vehicle and camera-car, in car-to-car, big multi-car shoots, and everything in between. I’ve shot two-car action, single-car action, and basic packages. Never crashed anything either!

During my time at the Miles City Star, I learned a bit more about a wider range of subjects. I covered local events, shot all the headshots used in the paper, and did general community photography. “Go outside and take pictures of snow!” Yep, my editor was an old-school newspaperman, but it was a great education!
